SUMMARY:Halifax Community Yard Sale
DESCRIPTION:Halifax Community “Free” Back-to-School Yard Sale Friday\, August 1st (10:00 AM to 6:00 PM) and Saturday\, August 2nd (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM) for the Halifax area students and their families. \nLocation:  The Valley’s Evangelical Covenant Church \nLast year a total of 177 students were helped\, and also families who returned Saturday afternoon to shop after the yard sale\, and 44 students went shopping as part of the “First Day Fresh Impressions” program. \nDonations needed are:  \nCLEAN\, GENTLY USED OR NEW CLOTHING for school students grades K-12 (baby\, toddler & adult clothing-clean\, gently used is also accepted).  \nSchool supplies– back packs\, spiral notebooks\, composition books\, 3 ring binders\, portfolios (3 prong)\, pens\, mechanical pencils\, colored pencils\, colored markers\, crayon packs\, highlighters\, rulers\, glue sticks\, erasers (to fit pencils)\, pencil boxes or bags.  Regular pencils are NOT needed.  \nWalmart Gift cards\, Monetary donations accepted (checks payable to The Valleys ECC earmarked “Back to School Program”) or to sponsor a child ($70) for “First Day Fresh Impressions”\, mail to alleys E.C.C. at P. O. Box H\, Halifax\, PA  17032 \nHelpers are needed to setup tables and sort clothing from July 10th to July 31st.   \nHelpers are also needed during the Back-to-school Yard Sale on August 1st and 2nd.  (2 or 3 hour shifts) \nClothing racks are also needed.  Please call the church office if you have a rack to lend for the yard sale.  (717-896-3118)  They will be needed from July 10th until after the yard sale. \nIf you are interested in helping\, please contact Ed Dobbin or call the church office (717-896-3118).  \nThe program appreciates any and all help the Halifax community gives for this program! \nDonation boxes will be at Valleys ECC and Halifax Area High School\, Middle School and Elementary School offices.  Deadline for donations is July 27th. \n*NOTE:  Messiah has a box to place any of the items listed above.  Please place any items in this box by July 20.
